The Netherlands

The Kingdom of the Netherlands was established by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, initially including what is now Belgium. After Belgian independence in 1830 it settled into its present borders. A major colonial power via the Dutch East Indies, it remained neutral in WWI but was occupied by Germany in WWII.
