Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked East African state in the Great Lakes region, lying on the Equator and bordering Lake Victoria, the source of the White Nile. A former British protectorate, it became independent in 1962. Its post-colonial history includes the dictatorship of Idi Amin in the 1970s. Its capital is Kampala.
