Anne Bonny
Irish-American pirate who sailed with Calico Jack Rackham in the Caribbean. One of only two well-documented female pirates of the era, she fought alongside men when Rackham's crew was captured in 1720. Her famous reported rebuke to the captured Rackham — 'If you had fought like a man, you need not have been hanged like a dog' — became legendary.
