Israeli Prime Minister (1974–1977 and 1992–1995) and Chief of Staff during the Six-Day War who signed the Oslo Accords with PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat in September 1993, earning the Nobel Peace Prize; assassinated by right-wing Israeli extremist Yigal Amir at a Tel Aviv rally on 4 November 1995.
